Oregon tightly controls the sale of liquor, most small towns may have only one, if any, State run liquor outlets with state control of prices but will have a recreational/medical Cannabis store on almost every corner. I also understand legal Cannabis is very cheap here, my guess because of the competition and number of outlets.
I have not visited any of the weed stores here, mostly because my home grown is as good as any you can buy and I have all I can use and even enough to cover my failed eatable experiments from this year's grow. There is a store just south of Brookings almost on the California state line that claims to have the best prices in Oregon that I will try to visit before we leave the area. It could be because of the store's location those "best prices" referred to are compared to California legal Cannabis.
I did visit a local "grow shop", damn impressive, especially compared to the one we have in Tucson. In fairness to the Tucson store, it is oriented to the commercial grower where the Brookings store customers are mostly small scale growers.
It would be nice to have similar store in Tucson but I expect I would still buy the small things like "grow bags" from Amazon and only some of the big things from the commercial grower store as I do now. Which of course explains why our economy is so fucked up.
