More on Grow System

 Because we have a couple of week or longer trips planned I needed a semi-automatic watering system. What I came up with is a standard autowater system feed by connected 5-gal storage buckets. 

Five outside buckets connected through siphon hoses feeding the inside tent bucket that has the pump system and controller set to feed each plant on a programed time/volume schedule.

I'm still working on scheduling but it appears I will end up on a every other day, 3 minute feed. That works out to, best guess, a liter/plant/watering. That is a little over 1.6 gal/feeding. I should be able to go a couple of weeks between filling of the storage system.

I'm planning on controlling pH and feed from the pump bucket, so far it seems to work.

I'm working the autogrow system out using Autoflower plants. Photoperiod plants require too much attention to work at this simple level but I'm going to work on it. Truth is Autoflower plants have improved so much you do not lose too much THC or production when growing Autoflowers. Mostly you just lose the pleasure of fucking around with your plants, with Autoflower plants my best results have come with just letting the genetics do the work.

2023 Fall Grow Tent Setup

 We are back from the Oregon Coast, RV did well, only a couple of minor squawks. The kitchen overhead vent opening system failed (fixed) and the fridge control board needed to be rebooted. Both done. All the motorhome needs for the return trip to Oregon next Summer is to have the fluids and filters for both engine and APU changed (BTW a near squawk free trip almost never happens even if it is just a day trip, much less a four month over 2000 mile journey).

The fall Cannabis grow is started, seeds popped and in dirt. This will be an autoflower grow because there are several week or more trips planned for the grow period. With autoflower Cannabis you just need to turn the lights on for 18 hours a day and keep 'em watered. Ten to fourteen weeks later cut 'em down. Photoperiod Cannabis needs more attention with better light and temperature control.

 The auto water system still needs to be calibrated, with it working we should be free for a couple of weeks at a time. 

The Cultivar is Dutch Passion Skywalker Haze Auto. SWH is a Sativa dominant, good producer with ~25% THC and should go from seed to harvest in ~12 weeks. Harvest just after the New Year.

Purpl Scientific

 One of the problems with homegrown is not having a clue how strong your weed, your infusion, or whatever is. sending to a lab is expensive and takes time. The answer is to find a way to test without sending to a lab. That has been pretty much hit or miss and expensive but there may be a game changer on the market from Purpl Scientific. It is not cheap but is kinda affordable and is fast, does not destroy your weed, and is as simple to use as grinding up your flower and pushing a button.

Comes in a nice case and now I know what my dose is.

BTW, back from the Oregon Coast. Not as many problems with the house, yard, and motorhome as usual but still plenty to keep me busy for the next few weeks.
